Everybody Hates Deadpool – Mr. Sinister

Setup:
Scheme: Everybody Hates Deadpool
Mastermind: Mr. Sinister
Henchmen: Maggia Goons
Villains:
  • Hydra Elite
  • Marauders
  • Masters of Evil
Heroes:
  • Agent X-13
  • Captain Marvel, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Mr. Fantastic
  • Solo
  • Steve Rogers, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Got a win, but just barely, and even that could be debatable. Normally you win by getting all four cards from the mastermind, but I usually defeat them a fifth time to take their main card. In this game the villain deck was almost done, which would have meant I beat the scheme but the mastermind got away. A draw in my book. Had one card left in the deck and two mastermind cards left. Managed to beat them both in the same hand, so I’ll take it. Mr. Sinister is a pain in the ass and this scheme was no walk in the park either. The Deadpool expansion introduces a Revenge mechanic, meaning for every card of that villain group you have defeated, you add one more to their hit total. This scheme adds that to everyone and you lose when nine villains escape. Managed to keep them in check well enough, but Sinister is tough to take down. Go me.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe – Magneto

Setup:
Scheme: Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe
Mastermind: Magneto
Henchmen: Phalanx
Villains:
  • Brotherhood
  • Hood’s Gang
  • Hydra
Heroes:
  • Angel
  • Bishop
  • Deadpool (Deadpool expansion)
  • Jean Grey
  • Rogue
Finally, a win with this expansion. This was a quick and easy one, probably because Magneto is a bit of a push-over in this game. The scheme itself wasn’t too tough. Only way to lose was having the hero deck run out, which was easy enough to avoid. Aside from the scheme, everything else was random form the app. I loved the idea of Deadpool running with all X-Men and kept imagining him wearing his trainee shirt.

Deadpool Wants a Chimichanga – Macho Gomez

Setup:
Scheme: Deadpool Wants a Chimichanga
Mastermind: Macho Gomez
Henchmen: Doombot Legion
Villains:
  • Deadpool’s “Friends”
  • Subterranea
  • Ultron’s Legacy
Heroes:
  • Deadpool (Deadpool expansion)
  • Groot
  • Man-Thing
  • Spider-Man
  • Thing
Continuing with the new schemes and mastermind. The rest were random, though I had it retry a few times until there was a combo I liked. These heroes would be a fun group to see run together, but alas we fell short. You lose if six chimichangas (bystanders) escape. Lost four early but then had it under control, took away three of the four mastermind cards, then lost two more bystanders and was sunk. Once again took a huge amount of wounds early and often, which never helps. Think I might add a standings page to track wins and losses for each card. I’m a geek like that.

Deadpool Writes a Scheme – Evil Deadpool

Setup:
Scheme: Deadpool Writes a Scheme
Mastermind: Evil Deadpool
Henchmen: Maggia Goons
Villains:
  • MLF
  • Evil Deadpool Corpse
  • Enemies of Asgard
Heroes:
  • Deadpool (Deadpool expansion)
  • Solo
  • Stingray
  • Slapstick
  • Bob, Agent of Hydra
I got the Deadpool expansion for Christmas and this was my first play with it. Usually I’ll mix in a hero or two when I get a new set, but thought I’d go all in with Deadpool. This scheme is ridiculous, acting as if Deadpool himself created it, so it isn’t balanced at all. Only six scheme twists go in the villain deck, and the 6th one means you lost, which is what happened to me. Only managed to take one card from the Mastermind, so this didn’t go well at all. Took so many wounds the deck ran out. So yeah, not a good time.
