June 11th @ Mets

This was a sloppy slugfest. Jumped out to a two run lead with a homerun by Inky, then gave up three in the bottom of the inning. Then another in the second. Scored three in the fourth in part to a homerun by Chamberlain to retake the lead, but a couple innings later gave up three more. We chipped away at the lead and tied it in the eighth to force extra innings. In the tenth Stocker hit a lead off double and then scored thanks to a two-base error. The craziest thing of all was when Mitch Williams came in and recorded a 1-2-3 save with a pair of strikeouts.

June 10th @ Mets

Heckuva pitching duel between Schilling and Saberhagen. We struck first in the fifth scoring two, but the Mets chipped away getting one in the bottom of the fifth and the seventh. Took us to extra innings and a pinch hit double by Todd Pratt gave us a play at the plate, but Eisenreich was safe which meant Wild Thing time in the eleventh. Mitch only gave up one walk and retired the rest to seal the win!

June 9th vs Astros

Well this was boring. Shutout by Harnisch while Greene gave up two unearned thanks to his own error. So he kinda earned those runs, but whatevs.

June 8th vs Astros

This was a tight game that went eleven innings. Mulholland had a no-no until a solo shot in the fourth ruined that. An Eisenreich homer gave us a one run lead that held until the eighth after a double and single. In the bottom of the eleventh, Mariano Duncan came in with two out and two on and hit a walk off single against Doug Jones to give us the win!

June 7th vs Astros

Dutch had another big game, carrying the offense with a grand slam to give us a 4-3 lead that we never relinquished. Rivera gave up a three run homer and nothing else, then gave way to Wild Thing for another adventurous save, loading the bases with no one out then getting a double play and strikeout, giving up a run but getting the would-be easy save.

June 6th vs Rockies

Started off scary with Jackson loading the bases with the first three batters, but somehow pitched out of it with no damage done. Daulton hit a three run blast that gave us the lead and we never looked back. He added a two run shot a few innings later. Jackson gave us seven solid innings and we pulled him with a chance to tack on some more runs. With an 8-1 lead we put in mason to mop up the rest, but he loaded it up and gave up a pinch-hit grand slam to Daryl Boston, making the game suddenly closer than it should have been. Mike Williams came in to close it out and get an easy save.
