Going into the All-Star break and trying to see who may have made the team. In reality the Phillies were well represented. Mulholland, Daulton, and Kruk started while Hollins was a reserve.
Since I can’t compare to other players in the league, I’ll just list a few that would be good considerations.
- Kruk’s .358 and 15 homeruns at first base.
- Daulton’s .303 and 20 homeruns at catcher.
- Stocker’s .341 average is impressive, but guessing he’d be a reserve since he’s an unknown rookie.
- Dykstra .300 with 10 homeruns and 30 stolen bases.
- Eisenreich is hitting .327, but gotta think there would be better outfielders to choose from.
- The bullpen is ass despite Mitch having 26 saves, but we have four starting pitchers with 10+ wins. Only three would be considered.
- Greene 14-2, 2.09 ERA ,122 K’s, 0.928 WHIP. Guessing he’d be the starter.
- Mulholland 12-1, 2.71 ERA, 1.025 WHIP.
- Schilling 10-2, 2.58 ERA, 101 K’s.
I already have my rotation set for the entire season, but thinking I might reset slightly based on the results. Currently we’re Mulholland, Greene, Schilling, Jackson, Rivera and using any off days to get the top of the rotation more appearances. Thinking I’ll swap Greene and Mulholland, the rest is performing as expected. Only 73 games left to play and we’re currently 10 games above the real ’93 Phils!
